Noosa is well known as one of the best tourist destinations in Australia, both locally and abroad. With this comes a large plethora of great activities, sights and businesses where you can spend your time – but what’s the best things to do? We’ve collated our personal favourite things you can do in Noosa:

1. Take a brewery tour.

If you’re a craft beer lover or just enjoy a brewed beverage, taking up the brewery tours available will be right up your alley. Sunshine Coast Craft Beer Tours offer a tour which runs over 5 hours visiting 4 different breweries. Tours are available on Thursday and Saturdays, or if you organise a group can be booked for any day of the week.

2. Kayak with the dolphins

If getting out into nature, seeing wildlife and getting in some exercise sounds like a good day to you – you won’t be able to find a better thing to do in Noosa than kayaking with the dolphins in Noosa. The launch points are located right in the heart of Noosa providing easy access so you can get out onto the water sooner and start exploring the area. Water life you can potentially see include dolphins, sea turtles, rays and crabs.

3. Try Noosa’s recently opened local gin distillery

Fortune Distillery opened last year as the first distillery in Noosa. Inside the Land & Sea brewery building, Fortune produces gin, vodka and malt, so there’s something for everyone. Fortune features one of the largest copper stills in Australia, which is both aesthetically pleasing and helps produce the high end alcohols for which they’re now well known.

4. Hike through Noosa National Park

Over 9,800 of pristine national park, it’s a short walk from Main Beach up to the entrance of 15 kilometres of hiking trails through tropical wilderness. Noosa National Park is also a wilderness sanctuary with a diverse range of native life for you to see and explore. There’s also BBQ and picnic facilities available if you’d like to make a day of it at the Park.

5. Noosa Main Beach

It goes without saying, any trip to Noosa won’t be complete without spending some time at Main Beach. With the water protected and actively patrolled by lifesavers it’s a great beach for those who aren’t comfortable normally swimming in the sea.

6. Grab a bucket of prawns at the Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club

With arguably the best views, modern fitout and great undercover seating for diners, it’s an appealing way to spend an afternoon in Noosa. If you’re a fan of seafood the best thing you can do in Noosa is try out their well-known half kilo of kilo iced buckets of prawns whilst taking in the stunning views.

7. Explore Hastings Street, Australia’s best main street

If you’re looking for a mix of eclectic cafes, bars, boutique shop selling everything from homewares to skincare products, art houses and more – Hastings Street is for you. With everything you need to spend a day, you can find somewhere for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner on Hastings Street in between your shopping adventures.

8. Mix in with the locals at Noosa Farmers Market

Open every Sunday, the Noosa Farmers Market has a mix of bespoke food and locally grown produce, from preserves, dips, sauces and condiments which are easily transportable back home after your trip. There’s plenty of food for you to be able to snack on with pastries such as pies, bread and sweets. Local bands will often play at the market bringing further energy into this already great market.

9. Capture the magnificence of the world’s largest mammals

Noosa is blessed to have regular pods of whales travelling through the area, so it’s possible to experience this unique part of nature through locally run whale watching tours. Through a chartered cruise down Noosa River, you’re able to catch all the sights, so you’ll not only see these majestic beasts, but a unique view of the forests, rock formations and beaches of Noosa. (this is personally my best suggestion of what to do in Noosa)

10. Sneak in some chocolate treats from Noosa Chocolate Factory

With a factory direct retail store in Noosa, you can head down to Noosa Chocolate Factory to get your fix of chocolates. No matter what type of chocolate you like, they’ll have it there with their delectable range of chocolates and sweets. Be sure to try their unique take on rocky road, it’s made daily and to DIE FOR.
